Services Offered

Q. Do you just fill prescriptions?

A. Apart from filling your prescriptions quickly and accurately. GFA carries a variety of over the counter items for everyday needs such as cough and cold remedies, all natural supplements, vitamins, first aid supplies and toiletry items. Also, GFA carries a full line of home and durable medical equipment for which we are able to bill some insurances.

Q. I take more than one medication, how will I know if they interact?

A. The pharmacists at GFA always have time to answer any questions regarding your medications and health and wellness needs. While in the pharmacy, speak to anyone in blue scrubs and they will be happy to help or get the pharmacist for you. What is most important to us is that you have all of the information you need to be comfortable with your medication therapy and to make the right decisions for you.

Q. If I filled a prescription in Kennebunk, can I have it refilled at the Good for All Pharmacy in Waterboro?

A. Yes-however we do not share the same customer database. What that means is that you can provide information to be on file at both locations to have prescriptions filled there. You can fill a new prescription at either location and if you would like to have a refill done at our other location, the prescription can be transferred there by our staff.

Q. I have a prescription for compression stockings. Does Medicare cover them?

A. Generally, Medicare does not cover compression stockings unless the use of them will be a part of a comprehensive wound care plan. Call the pharmacy for details.

Q. I don't have insurance or I have entered the coverage gap (or "donut hole") with my existing insurance. What can GFA do to help with the cost of medications?

A. GFA offers a couple of different pricing options for those who are not using an insurance plan. The first is our "One Price Plan". The One Price Plan is a select list of commonly prescribed generic drugs that all have one low price for either 30 or 90-day supplies. The second option is our "house insurance" or NetRx prices. NetRx is a prescription discount program that allows GFA to give its customers better prices. For example, for a commonly used 5-day course of antibiotics the big box stores can charge up to $75. Through our house insurance, the same medication will be around $25.

Q. I have prescriptions but I don't have transportation to your pharmacy. How will I get my medications?

A. GFA has a free delivery service to the areas surrounding the pharmacy. Call for details.

Q. If my prescription runs out of refills, will the pharmacy contact my doctor?

A. Unlike other pharmacies, GFA has no problem getting in touch with your physician for you for refill requests or anything else regarding your prescription.

Q. I have diabetes and/or heart complications and want to learn more about it. Can you help?

A. Yes! Good for (You) University! Each month, GFA holds free diabetes and heart health education classes. They are held on the last Tuesday and Thursday of the month at our Kennebunk location (classes are starting in Waterboro September 2011). Call either store for more details!

Q. My doctor recommended that my children take a multivitamin. There are so many to choose from and I'm not sure if I can afford the right one. Can you help?

A. Not to worry! GFA offers a free chewable multivitamin for children up to 18 years old. Just speak to any technician at the pharmacy to sign up! We also offer a choice of either a free senior multivitamin or a calcium supplement for those over 60 years old and free prenatal vitamins for pregnant women. No insurance is necessary. The vitamins can be filled monthly for a 30-day supply. Delivery service does not apply when delivering vitamins alone.

Q. Will my copay be more expensive because you are an independently owned pharmacy?

A. When using an insurance plan, your copay will be the same no matter where you have your prescription filled. When not using an insurance plan, GFA offers discount programs that will most likely give you a better price than our competitors. The difference when using an independently owned pharmacy is that you are treating yourself to the personal service that you deserve. At our independent pharmacy, our friendly staff has time to talk to you about your prescription, to learn your name, to get to know you so that we can help you make the best decisions regarding your health. Also when using an independently owned pharmacy, you are keeping money within your community unlike when you shop with our big box competitors.

Q. I need my annual flu shot or am interested in a Zostovax (shingles) vaccination. Does your pharmacy carry them?

A. Yes! GFA stocks the flu shot seasonally and Zostovax year round. We are able to bill vaccinations to Medicare part B and most private insurances. Our pharmacists on staff are Immunization certified, allowing them to administer the vaccinations on-site upon request. For employers, call us to ask about private flu shot clinics that we can host at your business for your employees!
